![]() I haven’t done too many quiz sessions but still got a couple of repeated question. I think the questions a still good though. One thing on the exam prep: it is not yet set up like the new exam with the new hot spot questions and it is still 200 questions and 1 break. The new version lacks the final chapter on ethics not sure why. I also have the 9 th edition in hard copy so I know the new version is very similar. The new book is sprinkled with agile references. I bought online version of the book, flash cards, and practice exam. If nothing else I’ve been able to retain more concepts from this book then I have from the PMBOK. I also plan on reading through the Agile Practice guide since that text was much shorter it seems like it can be easier to manage.įull disclosure I have not taken the exam yet. Rita does also make reference to specific sections so it’s easy enough to cross reference. I plan on switching to the PMBOK only for reference rather then attempting to read cover to cover. Also the text is super dry and I struggled to maintain enough focus to really gain much. Personally, I had a hard time following the layout and making the connections of what happens when and which items influence others. Then it will repeat initiating, planning, M&C for Cost etc. If you read it chapter to chapter it will guide you through initiating planning, M&C for one topic such as Scheduling. I tried to read the PMBOK - but they layout is not really my favorite and I don’t feel that it does a great job with displaying how every process interacts with other ones. These are nice to take a break from reading and make sure you understand the concepts. In addition, there are open response exercises throughout the book. The questions and answers are all build on solidifying what you learned throughout the chapter and the explanations have been sufficiently descriptive. ![]() So there’s still no practice for select multiple or matching questions. I’ve only gotten through two sets of practice questions so far - but briefly flipped through the others. So far it has been introducing agile concepts side by side with the traditional approach which I appreciate cause it really helps solidify what the difference is. The book talks about the new exam structure (3 domains) and makes lots of references to the new exam content. I’ve read through the first 100 pages and so far I’m finding it very helpful. I bought the 10th edition to study for the 2021 exam.
